Beauty write for us: Beauty is a six-letter word and a charged word, mainly when occupying the creative industries. Still, while there’s the adage that it’s “in the eye of the perceiver,” some argue that what being (and not) beautiful is anything but subjective.
The Oxford Dictionary describes beauty as “a combination of qualities such as shape, color or form that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially sight.” But we all know that it is more than that: we often say that a person is beautiful or has a beautiful soul.
Beauty is therefore nebulous – it does not depend on specific aesthetic qualities but has a deeper resonance that is more about feeling than composition or color. Is Beauty Useful?
